OUR NEW TENOR!
We’re really exited to present our new permanent tenor; Mattis Myrland!
Mattis is a full time singer, producer and composer living in Hov i Land, a couple of hours drive north of Oslo. Mattis has worked with PUST earlier, taking part of our Christmas tours back in 2015 and 2016. Now we’re very happy to include him permanently in the group!
Mattis is a versatile singer/songwriter, with an influence of the East. He has studied Indian Classical Singing in the field with Indian master Madhumita Ray, living and studying in New Delhi back in 2007. Back home it inspired him to make his own band and music; Mattis & The Grand Trunk Road. Listen to their great album “Imperial Splendor” (watch the video here).
Mattis has been busy on different music arenas with a wide variety of genres. He has worked with artists like Jon Balke, Ingrid Olava and Haldor Røyne. With the bluegrass band Løkki he toured all over Norway playing school concerts for kids, visiting around 5000 classrooms and receiving a nomination for the Norwegian Grammy Award "Spellemannprisen" in 2016.
Recently he has recorded some collection of songs called “Beautiful Fanatic”. This songs are contemplating the ongoing war on truth; they are emotional responses to the chaotic events, and the new faces of fanaticism, political and religious, around the world. See video of “Little Boy”.
We're really exited and happy to have you, Mattis! Welcome to the Pust-family!
